This year I decided that I was going to spend the fourth of July with the rest of the single adults this side of Utah in Huntington Beach. I was feeling much less then par when I woke up that morning so.... I knew I was in for an interesting day.
We started the day out by watching the parade in Huntington Beach. We first watched in at Logan and Jeff's house (who like right on main street). Then we headed up north main street and met up with Amber, Tad, and my little buddy Saxon.
After the parade we went to the beach to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. It was such nice weather and it was a perfect place for me to lay down and chill (from being sick) while still be social and having fun.
That evening we road our skateboard and bikes down to some BBQ's and then headed to the beach to watch the fireworks show. Since we were so far from the pier we couldn't hear the music so Christi brought her ghetto blaster and played a patriotic CD for us. It was just the right touch.
Here is Jeremy sporting the ghetto blaster skateboarding home from watching the fireworks. At one point he got so lost in the music that he didn't realize the rest of us had turned down a street and he kept on going until someone chased him down.
The day after the fourth of July we decided to break away from the usual beach scene and see what other nature Southern California has to offer. So I grabbed my roll of toilet paper (I was out of klennex) and my box of Suadafed and we headed for the Malibu hills. We were told that there was a hike to a waterfall so we went to check it out.
This was the waterfall... Despite the dissappointing amount of water that was actually falling it was stil beautiful in its own way and was well worth the two miles we hiked to get to it.
Happy Hikers...
All in all, despite being sick I had a great holiday weekend and a great time with my Arizona friends.
