confessions of a grad school student:

-took these pictures during class

-i drive in the carpool lane by myself at least once a week in order to get to school on time.

-i do my homework while at work... then my work while i am in class.

-when i am sitting in class taking copious "notes" on my computer i am really checking blogs, facebook, other homework, or blogging (ie... right now)

-when i am stalking people on facebook I often have the fear that i might accidentally put the persons name in the "whats on your mind" box instead of the "search" box. i guess if i am being honest, the person i am stalking is who is on my mind.

-i eat on the go for three of the meals a day. i mean literally, at least one of the meal is spent while driving in the car. i am learning what foods are good on the go. trying not to eat out in order to keep my waste thinner and my wallet fatter. i have become the girl that brings canned soup with her in her backpack. sometimes i feel homeless.

-there are people who have been in my class for the past two years and i still don't know their names.

-i like to play words with friends because its my way to feel like i am being social when really i have no time to play with my friends. (if you want to play let me know. my user name is aprilgusty)

-i play my practicum supervisor on 'words with friends.' she is incredibly good. i found a website that helps me cheat. and i use it when i play her. i am still losing by two hundred points.

-i had a paper due today at 4:00. i started it yesterday at 5:00.

-i am so over school right now. is it christmas yet?

Iesha

So sometimes when I am supposed to be writing papers... I think back to songs I used to love.

They just don't make music like they used to.
So good.

MM and More

So I know what you are thinking...
"Enough about the bikes. We want to know what you are doing with your life."
Clearly you are all dying to know what i've been up to. So i'll tell you.

Last week
(or maybe it was two weeks ago?)
was Miss Morgan McArthurs Birthday.

We started the birthday week off with an indoor picnic. It was a beautiful summery night and the house was covered in balloons.

The night before her actual birthday we hit the dance floor at Oceans.

It had been far too long and it was so fun to be back showing Laguna Beach how it was done.

Later in the week a few of us traveled up to the LA to see the Phantom of the Opera. Twas a delightful evening.

Thank you Morgan for being born. Not only so I could have a super fun week but also because you are an amazing person and I am extremely blessed to count you as one of my nearest and dearest friends.

Time is flying

I seriously can't believe its October.
That is all.

Day Dreams

You all should know by now how much I love bikes.

If you don't, let me tell you. I really like them.

Like more than a friend.

So this morning when I was on my daily run and I had to stop at a stoplight with a bunch of kids who were riding their bikes to school. And this thought came to... "I want that."

Now what exactly is "that" that I want? Well I am glad you asked. Let me tell you.
Or show you rather.

I want to be able to ride my bike more often.

I would LOVE to be able to ride my bike to work and/or school everyday.

And when I hang out with my girlfriends how great would it be if
we took two wheels inside of four.

Then from time to time I could throw some boots on...
(cause if there is something that I like equally to bikes its boots)

With boots on I could attract a guy that also loves bikes and we could grab a cup of jo.
(or ho cho in my case)

And he would not only love bikes but he will also be very smart and funny.

And he will be as adorable as can be.

And he will bring me flowers weekly

as we slowly fall in love.

Then we will start a little biking family.

With little boys who also love bikes.

And my husband could drop the kids of at school everyday...

While I go to the store and grab some groceries and soap.

While the kids are gone at school we could go for a joy ride around the neighborhood...

Until its time for me to pick our little ones up from school.

On the weekends we could go on adventures together
as we go for long rides around the country.

And even in our older years, when the kids are off on their own two wheels, we will still be riding a long together.
Happier than ever.

"In everything give thanks"
