warrior dash

last weekend,

before we listened to the good word,

amber and i went out to lake elsinore to do the warrior dash.

its a 5k run with tons of obstacles like climbing big walls, climbing under barbed wire, jumping over fire, sliding down a giant slip-n-slide, swimming through a lake and climbing over buoys,

 and crawling through mud.

by the end we were COVERED in mud.

but we didn't take any pictures until after we had rinsed off in the lake.

it was so fun. and it was so fun to do with amber.

thanks again amber for being an awesome sister.

(jule... you are pretty great too. and jason... you are by far my favorite brother)

birthday fun times

so i finally turned 29.

its been a long time coming.

to celebrate we did what any grown adult would do to bring on the last year of my 20's.

Trapeze School.

it was AH-MAZING.

that night we went to see fun. in concert in pomona. it was seriously such as good show.

they are great. and they are even greater live.

 

i love him.

on the way home from pomona we stopped at Winco

(yes, the grocery store. and yes, i seriously love that place)

and got some snacks from the bins.

i love bin candy.

it was a very very good day.

definitely a great way to say good bye to 28. it was a great year. one of the best so far actually.

here's to an even better 29.



utah~bootah

at the beginning of march jess and i went out to utah for our one and only snowboard trip of the year.

sad that it was the only one.

but it was really fun.

we arrived friday morningish and didn't want to pay a grip for passes so we went out to sundance for the afternoon. it had just snowed that week and it was so fun to ride through real powder

(i'm a little too used to fake california snow).

it was such a fun day BUT we were freezing... nose, toes, checks... all frozen.

so the that evening we went to the store and grabbed some essentials for the following day.

we were covered from head to toe.

jess went home saturday night and i stayed to hang out with julie.

sunday morning we went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's music and the spoken word and then toured around temple square and the conference center before going to church.

i love snowboarding. i love best friends. and i love the church.

it was a great trip.
