Single and loving it...

This year I brought in the new year trying out different hair colors.  What do you think?

I got to go snowboarding when ever I wanted.

I was able to take a few classes this fall-just for fun. One of them being golf and I got my own set of golf clubs... Michelle Wie better watch out!

A little disclaimer... this picture was taken well before the golf class began and my form isn't up to par but you get the idea... (also notice the rad tan line I have on my arm from my ipod band.... another perk being able to go running/working out whenever I want and not pushing a baby jogger)

This was the summer of travel.  It started off with a fun trip to Hawaii!
Mom and Dad at the top of diamond head
Horse back riding at the ranch

And snorkeling (gotta love underwater camera's)

I went on a cruise this summer for my family reunion with the gustavson side of the family. And although this did include the married's with children, I think I was able to enjoy it a little more than they were... I didn't have to put any kids of a leash because I was worried that they might fall off the boat.

But isn't he cute... they (my niece and nephew) couldn't get enough of the soft serve ice cream. And lets just be honest neither could I!

I was also able to take a last minute trip to Costa Rica with one of my co-workers.

This was from the backyard of the place that we were staying. We feed monkeys right out of our hand (later finding out that is not healthy for the monkeys... opps)

We got to surf in warm water!!

We risked our lives trying out the zip lines. It was one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen!

Here we sat at the bus stop for over two hours in the rain. Although that wasn't the most fun event of my life... imagine how much worse it would've been if I had any children with me...

But Costa Rica wasn't the only fun trip I was able to go on...

Here's Vegas to celebrate Lisa's birthday...

Arizona to visit two of my bestest friends Jodi and Julia.

Here is another trip to visit Jodi and we ended up at the Hoover Dam.

Christi is a great travel buddy... ask her about the car dance... Its AMAZING

There were many other trips including two trips to Utah and numerous ones to the lovely city of San Jose.

Some other accomplishments for the year...

I was also able to finally begin my pole dancing career.

I got to be an Aunt to three of the cutest kids. The best part of being an Aunt...
You get to love them- then leave them. :)

Saxon is the happiest baby. He is always smiling and makes you want to smile too.

Although I am smiling in this picture of Livi and I... I was actually freaking out because she was peeing on my arm. So much for diapers that day...

Here is me and little Lukie trick-or-treating. He didn't quite get the whole experience but he did understand what to do when the neighbors stuck out the bowl of candy. Who knew one little hand could pick up such a big hand full of candy.

I became the only single child in the family!

I love this picture of Papa Paul and his little boys...

As the single child you get the chance to stand by yourself in family pictures...
Oh wait... thats actually one of the negative things about being single... Oh well. :)

Time flies so fast. I feel like it was only a few weeks ago that it was New Years Eve last year. All in all I must say that 2007 was a great year.  See... being single really isn't all that bad and it definitely has its perks. And while I am not hoping to maintain my single status my whole life I have learned to embrace it for what it is at the moment and enjoy life as it comes to me.  I hope that all of you had a fabulous 2007 and an even better 2008.  I have a good feeling about this year!

Pieces of me...

So...  I am not exactly sure when the Blog craze hit but all of a sudden everyone cool has a blog.  So me... being the cool person that I am decided to hop on the band wagon.  I (like usual) was a little slow in accepting the trend.  I thought the idea of writing about your life and then having people read about it was kind of funny. It's like a diary that is fully exposed to anyone that wants to read it.  It wasn't until late one night I was surfing the web (yes... I am a dork that surfs the web) and I found myself staying up even later to catch up on everyone's life via their blogs.  Then I sat there thinking of the people that should have blogs so that I could know what is going on in their lives.... then I realized... you know what?... there are probably people out there wanting to know what is going on in my oh so fabulous life. I figure that it's only a matter of time until MTV asks me to be the star of their next reality show and you will be able to keep track of me that way but until then the blog will just have to do. :)
