i have been seriously loving my bikes lately.

me lately: foster the people

last night i went to a foster the people concert 

amazing. 

AH-MAZING.

it was one of those shows that keeps replaying over and over in my head

and can't wait to see them again. 

definitely made it into my top five favorite shows. 

so good. 

me lately: palm springs tram.

since i was bitten by the travel bug i have been looking for fun things to do every weekend. 

this weekend was no exception. 

for awhile now i have been wanting to check out this tram in palm springs that takes you to the top of a mountain where you can spend the day hiking around. 

so saturday erika and i decided to go check it out.  

it was so nice to be out in nature and we had a blast.

 yes. erika did rock that hat all day.  no skin cancer for her. 

this tree smelled like butterscotch/vanilla. 

once we found this out we were the weirdo's smelling all the trees. 

and we were okay with it.

me. lately: seattle

once upon a time

(february 2011)

 i suggested to my friend emily beesley that we should

a. go on a trip together

b. run a marathon. 

so we found a marathon in seattle. 

we thought: two birds one stone. 

well then life happened.

(bought a house, lots of friends got married, grandma died, finals, mid-terms, laziness) 

and i didn't train for it. 

but she did. and the trip was already planned. 

so last weekend i spent in seattle. 

and i loved it. 

(loved it like i had to call my mom at the airport in order to get a pep-talk to get back on the plane to come home)

the hostel we stayed at was right outside of pikes place.  amazing location.

canoed through this loveliness.

visited (and stayed) on vashon island. where i stayed for 6 weeks as a freshman in college.

(which i realized was 10 years ago. how'd that happen??)

 hung out. 

 hung out at parks. 

 hung out at random statues. 

 slept in random tee-pee's. 

 the owl tee-pee to be exact. 

 hung out at the bike in the tree. 

 stuck gum on the gum wall. 

and watched (and supported) emily run her first marathon. 

great trip.

made me want need to start traveling again.

me. lately: powell

2 weeks ago i went to powell. 

sunk this boat

lost all the stuff in that boat.  

rescued that boat. 

trip wasn't what we had planned. 

but we still had a great time. 

and i got out of not 1 but 2 speeding tickets on the way home.

wedding/zion

so one of my bestest friends (jodi) got married at the beginning of may.

the wedding was beautiful. out in the middle of the country.

it was a beautiful ceremony 

AND 

a great excuse to get together with some of my favorite girls in the world.

the day after the wedding we all decided to check out zions national park.

so fun.

i kind of forgot that i love the great outdoors. 

and i am happy to have rekindled my love.
