My projects lately

Sometimes. When I have free time. I like to craft.  

Here are some of the projects I've made in the past few months.

I made these cute beanies for my two new nieces. 

I guess I'm super patriotic cause when I decided to make a blanket I made on of these. 

 

I painted my walls.  Then painted this picture.

I got an email today from my roommate stating that once I graduated from school I should marry this guy:

I agree.

I think I am in love.

PS... Fun fact of the day: Did you know that when your youtube video is "loading" or "buffering" if you push the up arrow you can play snake?  yes, snake.  the game you played for hours on your first cell phone... way before angry birds ever made its appearance on the scene. 

Like Father Like Daughter

So our ward put together a little powder puff team and I am playing on it.

I play center.

Just like my pops.

See.  We are the same.  

Well, maybe not totally the same.
He may have weighed 100 pounds more than me. 

And he probably could catch the ball if it was thrown to him.

OH... and I am sure he could probably hike the ball without having to look.

So maybe not totally the same. But you get the idea. 

In other Powderpuff News...

My friends are awesome.

AND

Super tough.

I am happy I am playing with them... and not against them.

And this picture is not of anyone being tough.  

But it is just plain funny.  

We may have lost all three games in our tournament but we lost having a blast.  We had only practiced three times. I imagine with 6 practices we will dominate.  

But then again I have a biased opinion.  

New Years Weekend: Palm Springs

So... Updating my blog has been on my to do list for about a month now. I couldn't bring myself to put it on this weeks list again so here I am for just a quick little update on our new years extravaganza.

I didn't take that many pictures. I am going to work on that.

This year we brought in the new year out in Palm Springs. We rented this awesome house and after eating dinner in down town PS 20 of us spent the night playing "just dance", playing cards, playing hide and go seek in the dark, lets just say there was a lot of playing going on... There was also hot tubing, pizookie making, and conversationalizing (i know thats not a word but it just felt right).

Here are a few shots of the evening.

The next day we started the new years off right with a pancake breakfast made from pancake mix in a can.  They were surprisingly not half bad.  The day was spent playing tennis, hiking, walking, watching football, eating date shakes, playing more just dance and rock band, BBQing, hot tubing, and just having a merry ole time.  

It was a blast. 

I have a good feeling about this whole 2011 thing.

Someday...

- I will go to bed at a decent time.

- I will learn to keep my room neat and tidy.

- I will have a plant that I keep alive-maybe even a whole garden.

- I will graduate from grad school.

- I will actually train for a triathlon instead of doing them cold turkey.

- I will think about possibly running a marathon.

- I will fix up the fix it bike that I got for 15 dollars that is sitting in my garage.

- I will fit into my skinny jeans again.

- I will read 50 books in a year. 

- I will make a quilt.

Maybe that someday will be in 2011. Maybe not.

But I am sure going to give it a try.

Heart Breakers

I haven't had my heart broken in a while but I still loved this:  

 I'm going to keep that in mind for the next time.
