::Today it rained::

And around here~that is a rare and wonderful occasion.
It means you can dress up in your coat and scarves and boots
(even if it is still 70 degrees outside)
and enjoy a bowl of warm soup with sourdough bread.

I couldn't have been more tickled when I woke up to the sounds of pitter pattering on my window. Mainly because I knew that I could finally wear these little joys....

I absolutely love them.
And I think I will get to wear a lot of them this season.
Its supposed to be El Nino again this year.
Last time "the child" came around it rained everyday for the entire month of February.
And if this is the case again... I'm okay with it.
More rain=More snow!
And I just bought myself a season pass to Mt. Baldy!
(for only $50.00 mind you)

Life has busy and wonderful.
I just got home from a weekend spent aboard the carnival cruise ship "the elation."
This ship sailed me, jessica, and morgan to the ever so lovely city of ensenada, mexico.
There are many photos to share from this booze cruise but since its late I am going to leave that for another day...

but here is a sneak peek into some of the fun we had...

Thats right...
we had the chance to learn THE
(well at least a dumbed down version of THE)
Thriller dance.
It was awesome!

Life is so good.

Reality doesn't always bite

You know those days when you wake up on the right side of the bed. And for some weird, unexplainable reason you are just so happy. That was today...

Maybe it was because I woke up to the wonderful news that they
are joining again and touring and i will be there.

Or maybe it was because I bought 4 pairs of pants for $40.
Plus a super cute fall beanie.

Or maybe it was because I loved learning while at school today.

Or maybe it was driving home from school listening to this
(I know.. I am ridiculously obsessed)

Thinking about cruising to Mexico this weekend with two darling ladies and taking full advantage of the frozen yogurt machine.
I love days like today. Life is so good.

October

I am glad its october. I really like this month. September was a little rough with getting sick and throwing out my back. But I have a real good feeling about October.

Especially since my new super cute rain boots should arrive tomorrow.

Two little gems

from Ingrid's concert on tuesday.
Consider them a gift from me to you.

1. Maybe one of the best songs ever.

2. Duet done with Greg Laswell. Couldn't be cuter.

You're Welcome.

Saddle up

I have always been somewhat obsessed with saddle shoes.

How cute are they, right? But have never been justified in buying myself an expensive. So when I found these directions I was ecstatic. I can't wait to wear mine!

Now just to figure out what to wear them with....

Everybody wants to love

Ingrid Michaelson's new album "Everybody" is Ah-mazing. Its right up there with the blue album, jagged little pill, and MJ's greatest hits. I can pop that CD right into my car and listen to the whole thing through. (stopping at #4 to repeat it a few times. SO GOOD)

Anyway... She came to LA this week and Jeni, Jessica, and I took the field trip up north to hear the musical genuisness of miss michaelson. I love pretty much everything about this night. From the company

to the artist
(seriously though... not only is she talents vocally but homegirl is funny! I seriously wish I could hang out with her, eat some cashews, and make fun of all our friends)

To our amazing "seats'
(yes that is the stage we are sitting on)

To the venue
I couldn't have asked for anything more.

My favorite title: auntie april

Being an aunt is pure bliss.
and here are my six reasons for thinking so.

I couldn't love these peanuts more.
