More Procrastinating

This week was the final week for not only school... but also the biggest loser.  This show is amazing!  Seriously... the proof is in the pudding.  Check out these before and after pictures.

This guy looks like my first boyfriend from high school.
I am so proud of all the hard work that these people have done.  They all look amazing and are such an inspiration (I say as I am sitting on the couch eating a bag of popcorn).  Tuesdays just aren't going to be the same.  I already can't wait for next season.

but until then two of my favorite shows are coming back and I couldn't be more exciting.  Its going to be a great summer!

ADD (Avoiding Doing Dumbstuff)

Its getting to be that time of year again. My brain turns off and all I can think about it summer time. This years its especially bad due to the end of the semester coming up. I am not only getting antsy due to the fabu weather BUT I have to sit in class for hours at a time.  I am trying not to complain to much (and doing a terrible job at it) because I am really grateful to be in grad school and I love what I am learning.  But I am more than ready for the semester to be over (expect for the 3 10 page papers I need to write).

So what do I do when I am avoiding responsibility?  I blog.

So a little update... I wasn't kidding when i said that I play musical hair.  The boredom of same ole hit again and I gone and got my hair did.  I went dark again.  Sorry Dad...

This is from last year but it pretty much looks the same as this... I had to use pictures from last years dark era because I still can not find this guy...

Granted I haven't had that much time to look but I still just everyday hope and pray that I will stumble upon it.  I miss it so much.  It doesn't even know...

So when I am sitting in class trying not to go crazy these are the things I day dream about...

Havasupi...
Yep doing that this year...
In one month from this weekend I will swimming and splashing around in this not so tropical paradise.

One month after that I will be floundering in the waters of the great lake powell not only perfecting my golden cancer causing tan but my skills on the wake surf. Counting down the days.

If I survive these next two weeks than I am home free for the summer time fun.

As for now, I am off to pick this girl...

up from the airport so she can drive with me to Vegas and we can both participate in one of these

(Before you go ahead and think that I am awesome for participating in one of these. Stop yourself right there. I haven't trained for it... so i might die.)

Trapped in the 80's

Where can you find me on Tuesday nights? Well... after my horrendous day at school where i sit on my butt for 7 hours listening to teachs gab on and on about our feelings chances are you can find me at Oceans in Laguna Beach.
I might have a small obsession with the 80's. Maybe its the curly/frowing hair that would've been uber cool in 1988 or maybe its the comfort level of leggings or hammer pants. But I love it. Lucky for me... I am not the only one. Tuesday nights the mormons from Newport and San Clemente (and a few HB transports) meet at a neural location, Laguna Beach and demonstrate sober dancing at its finest.

Last week we decided to mix things up. White Out style. And this has nothing to due with the caucasain nature of 80's dancing. Although it might look like we were going to the temple really we were going to dance the night away in our all white outfits. I came a little late but when I walked in the dance floor was glowing... maybe it was the black light effect or maybe from the celestial beings that we are. I am going to go with the later...

Hoff to the races!!

Run, Drive, Sleep?, Repeat

I don't know what it is but I LOVE the ragnar races.  For those that don't know the ragnar races are relay races that involve teams of 12 running about 180ish miles over a 24 hour period.  This year Ragnar introduced the LA race.  This race started in Santa Barbara and ended in Dana Point.  Our team was awesome, the course was beautiful, and our mascot
 DAVID HASSELLHOFF
was inspirational.

The Hustle Hoffs
Rodney, Lisa, Ali, Erin, Brian, Helaman, Jeremy,
Brad, Morgan, Megan, April (thats me)

We didn't plan this... I promise.  I guess they true what they say about great minds...

We were team 36!  And so was the advil that got us through it...

180ish miles, 12 runners, 1 barfing brad, 1 lost helaman later...

And last but not least... Look who else was running the race. Yes you do recognize her but no you don't know her (well at not the real her) ...

the one and only Kelly Kapowski!

Never too old to play

After I got back from Thailand I decided to take a trip to AZ to visit some of my besties.  Our friend Jeremy for some reason owns all sorts of carnival toys such as  a blow up obstacle course (my favorite... and not just because I was the race champion), mechanical bull, climbing wall etc.  So while I was there he threw a party and pulled out all his toys for us to play on.  Thats when I decided... you are never too old to play...

After the party we went to this place called the Big Bang where they had two pianos and everyone in the place sang along... you know I loved it...

Phuket and Koh Pi Pi

Here was our final destinations in Thailand.  The beach.  Oh my how I love la playa.  This pictures are in no given order and I am not going to give descriptions of them.  If you want to know more... you just give me a shout out.  But as for now... just enjoy the visual depiction of one of my most favorite trips ever.
